This Award was launched in 2016 and went to Callum, age 15, from Chertsey, Surrey. The Award was made possible by the support of Surrey County Council’s Members’ Allocation Fund. AYM would like to thank Surrey County Council and Councillor Alan Young for enabling us to launch this new Award. We’d also like to thank Surrey Music Hub and Surrey Advertiser for promoting the Award.

Alan Young said, “I am delighted to support this new award for young musicians.  Music plays an important part in the life of so many young people and I hope this award will serve to assist and encourage their development.”
