When you attach your name, the name of a loved one or the name of your company to an AYM Award, you’re associated with giving wonderful music to the world. If you would like to set up an annual Award to support a genre, instrument, region, organisation or in honour of an individual, we can help you find the best way to arrange the support of a young musician. Here are some of the Awards that have been established by individuals or by their families:
The Chris Isaac Award for Jazz Piano
A new £1,000 Award in 2016 for the best young jazz pianist. Established in memory of the talented musician Chris Issac.

The Diana Toeman Award for Woodwind
Diana Toeman MBE, an AYM Angel, is very much with us - and long may she be so! She has previously arranged the Richard Toeman Award in memory of her late and much-loved husband.

Simon Richards, age 12, was born on 24 September 2002 in Sutton Coldfield and died of heart failure after an acute asthma attack at home on 16 August 2015. Simon's unique spirit and his legacy will have a positive impact by supporting budding young violinists and viola players from the West Midlands and the local community, through music making and live local performances.

These Awards were launched in 2016 and are funded by AYM Guardian Angels Stephanie and Marek Kulesza. They have endowed this Award for the best young musicians in Scotland and for AYM projects in Scotland in honour of Stephanie's Scottish parentage and especially her father's family from whom she inherited her deep love of music.
The Cheryl King (Hirst) Award
Launching in 2017, this Award will support young musicians from the area in which Cheryl King (Hirst), a gifted musician and teacher from Surrey, lived and worked. The Award has been established in her memory with the generous support of her friends and family.
The Rose Walker Award for Woodwind
This new Award for 2017 is made in the memory of Rose Walker, a talented young woodwind player and singer. It will benefit woodwind players from London and is jointly funded by Rose's friend Ayanna Witter-Johnson and her family, to honour all the joy that Rose brought to many through her music.

The Viola Bent Award
As a Guardian Angel, Viola Bent's generous gift will benefit a number of the most promising 2017 applicants playing stringed instruments or the piano, with a focus on the Berkshire area.

The Surrey Young Musicians of the year Award
This Award was launched in 2016 and went to Callum, age 15, from Chertsey, Surrey. The Award was made possible by the support of Surrey County Council’s Members’ Allocation Fund. AYM would like to thank Surrey County Council and Councillor Alan Young for enabling us to launch this new Award. We’d also like to thank Surrey Music Hub and Surrey Advertiser for promoting the Award.
